The Real Estate Division handles such action as: Non-payment of rent, eviction, trespassers, lock-outs, and land contract forfeitures and disputes.
Certain delinquent rent or rental security deposit cases may be handled through Small Claims Court.
The Real Estate Division is located on the 4th floor of the Madison Center Building, 421 Madison, in Detroit. New cases are filed at the civil cashier counter on the 2nd floor. Court hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
