Emancipation - Can I become emancipated when my parents are supporting
me?
Question
I am from Michigan ,but right now I am only 15 years old. I am looking
into emancipation for future reference. My parents are currently
supporting me, but I still feel I need/want to move out. I have a
job and would be able to manage my affairs well. My question is that
even though I am being financially supported, can I still get emancipated?
Answer
If your parents are supporting you, you cannot become judicially emancipated
in Michigan without their consent.
