Minors - How old would someone have to be to babysit over night in Michigan?
Question
How old would someone have to be to babysit over night in Michigan?
What are the laws as far as age and curfew is concern
in Michigan?
Answer
I am aware of no laws which regulate the age at which an individual may
baby-sit. Whether a person should be allowed to
baby-sit depends on the maturity of the individual and their sense
of responsibility. Common sense should be used in
selecting such a person. Curfew laws vary from community to community.
However, curfew laws would generally not apply
to a person baby-sitting a child at another's home.
