Minor - Can a 17 year old be held responsible for an internet purchase?
Question
Can a 17 year old be held responsible for an internet purchase?
Answer
Most contracts made by a minor are “subject to disaffirmance.” This
means that the minor may be able to avoid any obligation created by a contract.
Whether the minor is successful in avoiding the obligation would depend
upon the particular facts. I would suggest that you consult an attorney.
Once the attorney knows all of the facts, he or she can advise you.
