Child Support - Can I sue for back child support in Small Claims Court?
Question
I live in Michigan and my ex-husband is behind in child support.
Can I take him to small claims court for that amount that is in arrears?
Answer
Small Claims (District Court) normally will not hear child support issues,
as there are enforcement remedies in the Circuit Court Family Division.
