Child Custody - What type of information must I provide the father about my child's daycare services?

Question

What type of information must I provide the father about my child's daycare services?  He has nothing to do with her and he
only wants to know the name of the daycare to get the cost that I am paying.  I checked the daycare and they say that they
can't tell him anyways...since he is not involved in my finances.  And I gave all of this information to the Friend of the Court.

Answer

If you and the child's father share joint legal custody, you probably should advise him regarding who provides day care and what the cost is.  If you have sole legal custody, you don't have to provide him any information.  Presuming that he contributes to child care by order of the court, if he is concerned that he is being required to reimburse you for child care that is either not being provided or that his share is inappropriate, then he can file a motion with the court to have the adjustment made.  The court order remains in effect until/unless modified by a subsequent order.
